Middle School Curriculum

Electives offered to supplement your middle school experience

A Dynamic Middle School

We want our students to come out of our middle school fully prepared and qualified to take on even the toughest and most selective high schools around. Our curriculum at EOS is comprehensive and includes courses that will not only provide a complete education, but also expose these young students to possible career paths and interests. EOS strives to guide students through every challenge they face during their path to various high schools and futures.

With our “Synergy Learning,” methods, we will be in direct contact with the students as they go through their courses to ensure completion and good work. EOS teachers/mentors will be readily available at various locations as well as online to support the students. We want to ensure that our students are not confused or falling behind in their courses, while providing the flexibility and adaptability that stems from online and blended learning.

EOS provides core curriculum as well as enrichment electives. Full-time middle school students will need to complete five courses in total per school year. These five courses include four core courses (English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) and one elective course. Our curriculum also includes advanced courses for students who want to get ahead and dive into the challenging courses usually taken by high school students.

EOS Middle School offers all four core subjects, which comply with the California Common Core standards. We determine which classes the students will need to take through a grade-level assessment and diagnostic test.

Assessment & Diagnostic

All middle school students must take grade-level assessment and diagnostic tests for English Language Arts and Mathematics upon enrollment. These tests will automatically assign content to the student based on his or her proficiency levels, as determined by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

Through these tests, EOS is able to meet students where they are, meaning, our program adjusts itself to allow for remediation and acceleration to create a truly personalized experience. Our program spirals both up and down to make sure your student is receiving the right balance and level of education needed for academic success.
