International Students (I-20, F1 VISA)

EOS is authorized by SEVP to accept and enroll nonimmigrant students from grades 5-12 by issuing Form I-20 to international students who want to study in the USA. Our designated school officials (DSOs) are trained to counsel nonimmigrant students to keep them on track with their work, remind them of their responsibilities, and allow them to maintain their nonimmigrant status.

Currently, EOS has 5 Learning Resource Centers (LRC) that are authorized to issue the Form I-20. Students are required to choose and attend one of the five centers and must check-in with the DSO of that particular center every school day. International students can take advantage of their LRC's current test prep offerings* as a part of their tuition, so be sure to speak with your DSO about what they currently offer.

If you are interested in studying in the States, please go to our How To Apply page to find out how to get started! You may also contact one of our LRCs for more information.

IMPORTANT NOTE

You are enrolling in a full course of study (grades 5-12) as stated on Form I-20. Elite Open School does not enroll students, nor issue Form I-20, for single semesters.

"I certify that I seek to enter or remain in the United States temporarily, and solely for the purpose of pursuing a full course of study at the school named on page 1 of this form". (Form I-20, sec. 11)

Programs we OFFEr

Students will be required to choose one of the following programs when getting started with EOS. If you are unsure of which program you would like to apply for, please speak with your DSO at your Learning Resource Center (listed above). Only students in grades 5-12 will be able to apply to EOS at this time.

The EOS Bridge Program

This program focuses on getting our International students accustomed to the English language and culture within 1 or 2 years so that they can transfer seamlessly into an American high school or college. EOS provides maximum use of time to catch up to American education standards for the transition by accelerating English skills with additional coursework for maximum efficiency.

Enrolling in the EOS Bridge Program will prevent international students from being held back or not accepted by local high schools due to their lack of English Language exposure. Towards the end of this program, students will meet with their DSOs to make sure that they are proficient enough to transition into the American school system.

Students who are more than 3 years behind in English are eligible for dual-language programs for the first year.

College prep (Core) Diploma Program

Our College Prep (core) Academic Program provides quality education for international students who are already accustomed to the English language and prepares them for college in the States. Students will be required to complete all of our graduation requirements (<25% of credits must come from EOS) in order to receive a high school diploma.

If students are not yet proficient in English, they will be placed in our ESL / Dual Language Program for the first 1 or 2 years with EOS and then will transfer into our core academic program.

Students who would like to transfer from the Diploma Program to the Bridge Program (before senior year) will need to speak with their DSOs to evaluate if they are proficient enough to transition into an American high school.

ESL / Dual language Program

Our ESL & Dual Language Program focuses on mainstreaming our international students, so that they are amply prepared to take on the challenges of an American high school, college, or workplace. EOS provides an accredited academic program to those who want to move to America, but do not qualify/want to attend a traditional American high school (public or private). Students may transfer into our College Prep (Core) program if they are comfortable with the English language after 1-2 years.

Core academic schooling will be completed during the morning hours of the day through flipped classrooms and blended learning--freeing up the afternoon for in-depth ESL courses, extracurricular activities, tutoring, and more.

Students who would like to transfer from the ESL / Dual Language to the Bridge Program (before senior year) will need to speak with their DSOs to evaluate if they are proficient enough to transition into an American high school.

specialized Sport and talent Program

This program gives athletes, musicians, actors, etc and their families efficient, effective core schooling so they can spend more time training for their sports, going to competitions, and manage seasonal sport schedules with flexibility, all with an accredited diploma. EOS provides the resources for young professionals to maximize their time learning in the States, while also training with American athletes and talent groups.

International students are required to attend their Learning Resource Center regularly and must check in with their DSOs if they are going to be missing or leaving early for training or a game. These must be approved prior to the event. Before applying, please make sure that you will be able to attend school regularly and that you will be able to complete your course of study with us.
