Rina Park, M.Ed.

Head of School

I am the Head of School at Elite Open School and have been interested in and working for the education system since my high school years. I started my journey interning as an assistant curriculum developer for the high school enrichment program, School-Connect, and created the speech and debate curriculum for middle school students at Elite Educational Institute. On top of curriculum development, I volunteered with a Team Kids, a non-profit organization which focuses on empowering young students to be leaders in their schools and communities. Prior to my years as the Head of School, I served as the coordinator for the International Academic Competition at the non-profit organization, Center for Future Global Leaders. My B.A. is in Psychology and Social Behavior, with a minor in Education, from University of California, Irvine and a M.Ed. with a focus on Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University.

Shannon O’Connor, M.S.Ed.

Assistant Head of School

I am proud to be Elite Open School’s Assistant Head of School. Prior to beginning this position, I held over five years of experience in EOS academic management, coordinating and implementing online and blended learning programs. I have established partnerships with various course providers, institutions, and organizations, such as TEL Education, Minerva Project, and more. I am passionate about instructional design and seek to merge the best attributes of modern educational technology with traditional classroom pedagogy. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of California, Irvine and a M.S.Ed. with a focus in Learning Sciences and Technologies from the University of Pennsylvania.

I joined the Elite Open School community as Director of Admission in 2020. In addition to my role at Elite Open School, I serve as Director of Human Resources for Elite Educational Institute. From budgeting to matters of employment, I ensure that resources are put to use in ways that best support our students, faculty and staff, and the Elite community.
