Non-discrimination
All potential students are considered without regard to race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental handicap, medical condition, marital status, political beliefs or affiliations, ethnic background, sex or sexual orientation, or — within the limits imposed by law — age or citizenship.
Privacy policy
At Elite Open School ("EOS," "we," "us," or "our"), we take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the personal information of our students, parents, legal guardians, and site visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website, enroll in our courses, or use our educational services ("Services"). It reflects privacy standards in effect as of September 2026, including the FTC's amended COPPA Rule, FERPA, and applicable state privacy and youth-protection laws. By using EOS Services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to deliver our educational services: identifiers and contact information (name, postal address, parent/guardian email, phone, and account credentials); educational and academic records (enrollments, grade level, progress, attendance, transcript requests); billing and financial data (payment details processed through PCI-compliant gateways); and technical and network data gathered automatically (IP address, device and browser characteristics, and session activity). Because our Services reach children and teenagers, information collected from a student under 16 — along with any biometric, precise-geolocation, or government-ID data — is treated as sensitive personal information subject to heightened protection.
Biometric data and media captures
EOS does not collect biometric identifiers, voiceprints, or facial-recognition templates from any student without explicit, affirmative verifiable parental consent. Video or audio submitted for class assignments or identity verification is processed in restricted-access learning portals and deleted according to our retention schedule.
How we use personal information
We use personal information only for legitimate educational and administrative purposes: delivering and personalizing learning programs; processing enrollments, tuition, and record requests; communicating with families about coursework and school notices; maintaining security and preventing fraud; and meeting legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. We do not use student information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling to make legally significant decisions about a student without human review.
Artificial intelligence & machine learning protections
EOS does not sell, license, or input student-generated content, essays, coursework, or form submissions into third-party, commercial, or generative AI models for training or fine-tuning, and does not use personal information to train large language models. AI tools within our platforms operate in isolated environments for instructional support only, under the same consent and data-minimization protections described here.
Children's privacy (COPPA) & minor protections
We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without prior verifiable parental consent obtained through an FTC-recognized method, and we obtain separate consent before any disclosure not integral to our Services. For students ages 13–17, EOS does not sell personal data, does not use it for targeted advertising, and does not condition a privacy right on creating an unnecessary account. Parents and legal guardians may review, request deletion of, or withhold further collection of their child's data at any time. As required under the amended COPPA Rule, EOS maintains a written children's data-security program and retention policy, keeping student information only as long as needed for its educational purpose — generally enrollment plus the transcript and accreditation record-keeping period (typically up to seven years after last enrollment unless a longer period is legally required) — after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.
Data sharing & third-party disclosures
EOS does not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We disclose it only to vetted service providers (such as learning-management systems, payment gateways, and hosting) bound to keep it secure and use it solely for EOS operations; to educational and accreditation partners and official transcript services (such as Parchment); and when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect safety, rights, and property. Where a disclosure to a provider is not integral to serving a student under 13, we obtain separate verifiable parental consent first.
Subprocessors & service-provider transparency
Personal data is processed through vetted subprocessors (secure cloud hosting, learning-management systems, and PCI-compliant payment gateways) under Data Processing Agreements that enforce confidentiality, FERPA compliance, and state privacy standards. A current list of subprocessors is available on request through our Privacy Office.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know and access the information we maintain about you or your child; request deletion (subject to student-record retention rules); correct inaccurate information; obtain a portable copy; opt out of any sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; appeal a denied request; and exercise these rights free from discrimination. EOS does not sell or share personal data or run targeted advertising, but you may still submit a request. To exercise any right, contact our Privacy Office using the details below.
Universal opt-out signals
Because EOS does not sell or share personal information or use it for targeted advertising, opt-out requests generally have no additional effect on our processing. Even so, our website is configured to detect and honor recognized universal opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law.
How quickly we respond
We act on rights requests within 45 days of receipt — extendable once by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, with notice — and respond to appeals within 45 days. For a confirmed security incident, we notify affected individuals and regulators without unreasonable delay, internally targeting 48–72 hours from confirmation, or sooner where a state deadline requires.
Data retention & minimization
We keep personal data only as long as needed for educational service delivery, transcript maintenance, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance, in line with our written retention schedule. Once the applicable period expires, data is securely destroyed or anonymized.
Cookies & online tracking
We use essential functional cookies to recognize logged-in accounts and maintain secure sessions. We do not use non-essential tracking cookies for third-party behavioral advertising, and our site honors a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out where applicable law requires. Disabling functional cookies may affect platform features.
Data security safeguards
EOS uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including SSL/TLS encryption, role-based access restrictions, and secure server architecture — to protect personal data. In the event of a confirmed security incident affecting student or parent information, we notify affected individuals, guardians, and regulators without unreasonable delay and in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements.

FERPA
Elite Open School complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Parents and eligible students have the right to inspect and review the student's education records, to request correction of records they believe are inaccurate or misleading, and to consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information except where FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent. Families may request access to their student's records by contacting the school.
Title IX
Consistent with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Elite Open School does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its education programs or activities. This protection against sex-based discrimination and harassment extends to students, families, and staff. Concerns may be reported to school administration, which reviews and responds to each report.
Academic integrity
Students are expected to submit original work, cite their sources honestly, and use AI within the bounds set for each assignment. Integrity is taught as a core skill, not merely enforced — it is where our approach to responsible AI is put into practice.
